A tough pill to swallow
Meet Donnie the handsome turtle!
Although Donnie isn't anyone's pet, he's certainly proven himself to be brave. A member of our community found him struggling with fishing line sticking out of his mouth and brought him to our team to be examined. After running x-rays we made a shocking discovery - a fish hook was lodged in his throat! Donnie was anaesthetised so the fish hook could be safely and painlessly removed. He is now in our recovery ward, and is feeling a lot better with his throat cleared.
We're so proud of our vigilant and caring community for bringing Donnie in for treatment, and of Donnie himself for his astounding bravery.
